During his visit to Hokkaido, the President of the Poland-Japan Foundation, Radosław Tyszkiewicz, met with Prof. Norihiro Naganawa, Director of The Slavic-Eurasian Research Center (SRC) at Hokkaido University – one of the world’s leading research centers on Central and Eastern Europe, playing a significant role for Poland as well. The discussion focused on cooperation prospects, including the implementation of joint projects and support for the newly established think tank of the Poland-Japan Foundation. The Slavic-Eurasian Research Center at Hokkaido University has maintained strong academic and cultural ties with Poland for many years. Polish scholars have participated in its activities as visiting fellows. Through its extensive collections, publications, academic exchange programs, joint research, and events, the Center has built lasting relationships with Poland, placing it within the broader context of research on Eastern Europe and Eurasia.
