Musical Meeting of Cultures: Poland and Japan in Piano Sounds

On May 24, a unique spring piano concert organized by the Poland-Japan Foundation took place at Ota Civic Plaza in Tokyo. The event was dedicated to promoting Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the upcoming 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. Interest in the concert far exceeded our expectations—130 music lovers gathered in a hall designed for 100 people. Part of the audience had to listen to the concert standing, which, however, did not prevent the creation of an extremely warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. Ms. Yuki Satomi’s performance was met with tremendous applause. The pianist enchanted the audience with her masterful execution of works by Fryderyk Chopin and other Polish composers. The concert concluded with encores, which beautifully crowned this musical morning. We thank everyone for attending in such large numbers and for celebrating together the rich musical heritage of Poland! We cordially invite you to the next musical event organized by the Foundation in October 2025!
