On March 28, Dr. Monika Kwiecień-Miland, Head of the Science and Education Department at the Foundation, met with Japanese high school students who are implementing a project in Poland related to the promotion of Polish food and the food sector in Japan. The meeting took place at the charming Wedel café in Warsaw, during which the main topic was the presentation of characteristic dishes of Polish cuisine. Together, they considered which Polish products would have a chance to succeed in the very demanding Japanese market and how to adapt Polish flavors to the expectations of Japanese consumers. The students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the aromas of Polish spices, of which they most appreciated marjoram and allspice. The students’ meeting with the Foundation’s representative was one of many points of their visit to Poland, and we hope they will take good memories with them.
