A meeting took place in Krakow between Radosław Tyszkiewicz, President of the Poland-Japan Foundation, and Prof. Krzysztof Ingarden – Honorary Consul of Japan in Krakow, a distinguished architect and recipient of numerous awards. The discussion focused on strengthening Polish-Japanese cooperation in the fields of education, culture, and architecture. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss future initiatives for the development of Polish-Japanese relations. Prof. Ingarden has been connected with Japan for many years – he completed a research fellowship at the University of Tsukuba, worked at Arata Isozaki’s office in Tokyo, and frequently engages in dialogue with Japanese culture in his architectural work. He is co-author of, among others, the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology in Krakow and the embassies of the Republic of Poland in Tokyo and Japan in Warsaw. For his achievements, he has been honored with the Order of the Rising Sun – a high distinction from the Government of Japan.
