The premiere screening of the documentary film “Poles in Japan: Life, Passion, Success” took place at the EuroLive cinema in Tokyo’s Shibuya district. The event gathered numerous guests, including representatives of the Polish community, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tokyo, the diplomatic corps, the business world, media, friends of Poland in Japan, and guests from Poland. The film’s production took one year and covered various regions of Japan. The documentary presents the contemporary Polish community in the Land of the Rising Sun—their passions, achievements, and contribution to the development of Polish-Japanese relations. The film also depicts the history and present day of Polish communities in Hokkaido and the Kansai region, which actively participate in local life while preserving their unique cultural heritage. The production is a continuation of the 2024 project “Emissaries of Polishness in Japan.”
